One of the main reasons real estate professionals choose IAD Spain is the opportunity to run their own business. As an independent agent, you’re not tied to a physical office or a traditional commission structure. This level of autonomy can be empowering, but it also means that success is largely in your hands.
To succeed at IAD Spain, it’s crucial to embrace the independent model and take full responsibility for your business. Independence requires self-motivation and discipline, as you won’t have a traditional office environment or a manager constantly overseeing your work. The flexibility that comes with independence is one of the main advantages of the IAD model, but it also requires a mindset shift: you are the CEO of your business.
Focus on building systems that help you stay organized, manage client relationships, and keep track of your progress. IAD Spain provides agents with all the digital tools needed to run a business, but how you use these tools is up to you. Whether you’re working with buyers, sellers, or other agents, establishing strong, trust-based relationships will set you up for long-term success. IAD Spain emphasizes a community-driven approach, where collaboration and sharing knowledge are key to growing the business.

In a competitive industry like real estate, effective marketing is essential to standing out from the crowd. As an independent agent at IAD Spain, you have access to digital marketing tools and resources that can help you reach potential clients and expand your online presence. However, the key to successful marketing is consistency.
Develop a consistent marketing strategy that includes both online and offline efforts. Digital marketing tools like social media, email campaigns, and paid advertising can help you generate leads and build brand awareness. Social media platforms, in particular, provide an opportunity to engage with your community and showcase your expertise. Regularly post valuable content related to real estate, share market updates, and highlight success stories to keep your audience engaged.
In addition to digital marketing, consider traditional marketing strategies such as hosting open houses, participating in local events, or leveraging your personal network for referrals. Consistent marketing across multiple channels helps you stay top of mind with potential clients, so be sure to integrate both online and offline marketing strategies to maximize your reach.
5. Use Technology to Your Advantage
One of the main advantages of joining IAD Spain is the access to cutting-edge real estate technology. IAD provides agents with a digital platform that offers CRM tools, property management features, automated marketing solutions, and more. Leveraging these tools effectively can save you time, streamline your business operations, and help you close more deals.

Technology should be seen as an extension of your business. For example, you can use automated email campaigns to stay in touch with potential buyers, send property alerts to clients based on their preferences, or manage your listings and transactions from your phone. Being tech-savvy will give you an edge in an increasingly digital real estate landscape.
6. Set Clear Goals and Track Your Progress
Like any successful business, it’s essential to set goals and track your progress. Real estate can be a rewarding career, but it requires a focused approach to reach your full potential. Establish both short-term and long-term goals, whether it’s closing a certain number of deals per month or expanding your network of clients.
At IAD Spain, agents are encouraged to track their progress and set targets for growth. Regularly evaluate your performance, identify areas for improvement, and adjust your strategies as needed. Setting clear goals and tracking your achievements will help keep you motivated and focused on your success.
Remember, consistency and persistence are key. Real estate is a marathon, not a sprint, and success comes from making incremental progress over time. By setting clear, measurable goals and sticking to your action plan, you’ll increase your chances of achieving long-term success.
7. Don’t Be Afraid to Ask for Help
Real estate is a dynamic, ever-changing industry, and there’s always more to learn. As a new agent, it’s important to recognize that asking for help is not a sign of weakness—it’s a sign of strength. Don’t be afraid to lean on your mentors, fellow agents, or Rafa Aguilar himself for guidance when needed.
